Allison L. McCormick, MD
Board Certified Dermatologist
Dr. Allison McCormick is a Board Certified Dermatologist who founded Auburn Dermatology Center in 2005. She has a passion for treating complex medical and surgical dermatological conditions, and takes great pride in making sure all of her patients receive the highest quality of care possible at each visit.
Dr. McCormick graduated with a degree in Nursing from USC, earning membership in the Order of Omega-Honorary Leadership Society. In 1998, Dr. McCormick received her medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences, The Chicago Medical School, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Following medical school, she completed her dermatology residency at University of California, Irvine in 2002.
Dr. McCormick is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and is committed to staying up to date with all of the latest advances in her specialty. In her free time, she enjoys doing yoga, spending time with her husband Michael, and watching her three children compete in their many athletic and scholastic events.
Vivian Turner, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Vivian Turner is a nationally certified Physician Assistant with over 20 years of experience in medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology. Vivian specializes in the treatment of a wide range of skin conditions, with a particular emphasis on advanced laser therapies for treatment of rosacea.
She is passionate about integrating cutting-edge dermatologic technology with evidence-based practices and curated skincare regimens. Her goal is to help each patient achieve and maintain healthy, radiant skin through personalized care and ongoing education.
She began her academic journey at Newbold College in England and earned her PA degree from Kettering College of Medical Arts in Dayton, Ohio, graduating in 2001. Her diverse educational background, paired with a commitment to lifelong learning, allows her to stay at the forefront of dermatologic advancements.
When she’s not in the clinic, Vivian finds joy outdoors and loves to travel. These passions bring balance to her life and continue to inspire her personally and professionally.
Heidi Rose, FNP
Nurse Practitioner
Heidi Rose is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. With over a decade of experience in dermatology, both as a registered nurse and a nurse practitioner, Heidi brings a wealth of knowledge and compassionate care to her patients. Her expertise spans both esthetic laser medicine and medical dermatology.
Heidi is passionate about helping patients manage and overcome challenging skin conditions. Having experienced skin struggles herself, she brings empathy and understanding to her practice. She takes a holistic approach to care, considering each patient’s overall health when developing treatment plans. Committed to providing evidence-based, up-to-date care, Heidi continuously advances her knowledge in dermatology and preventative medicine.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Sacramento in 1999. After 16 years as a registered nurse, she went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in 2015, becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. Outside of the clinic, Heidi enjoys people, family, animals, and airplanes.
Sarah Mayer, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Sarah Mayer is a certified physician assistant who joined the practice in September 2023. She has been practicing Dermatology since 2019. She is well versed in surgical and medical dermatology, with some experience in cosmetic dermatology. She is passionate about keeping up to date with advancements in treatments for various dermatologic conditions. She strives to connect both a professional and personal level with her patients to build long term relationships with both patients and their families.
She is especially passionate about skin cancer, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and acne. Sarah completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at UC Davis. When she is not in the office, Sarah is busy spending time with family and friends. She enjoys traveling and walking with her family and her dog.
C. Chad Norton, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Chad Norton is a certified physician assistant who joined the practice in 2023. Chad received a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Loma Linda University and a BS in Business Administration from Walla Walla University. Chad began his career as an Advanced Practice Provider in Emergency Medicine. He began working in Dermatology in 2019.
Chad’s proficiency in skin cancer, Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, and other dermatological conditions is driven by his passion for total wellness care. He believes medicine is highly individual and should be tailored to fit each person. Chad enjoys the challenge of keeping current with medical advancements by attending training and education in dermatology. Chad has a heart for the underserved, regularly serving in free medical clinics and mission trips. Chad grew up in the foothills of the Sierras where he enjoys outdoor adventures with his wife and 2 daughters.
